So, I've never had power output through my USB's or USB connectivity to my radio since I purchased it in August of 2023. I've been looking at upgrading to the Stinger heigh10 for a while now but haven't bitten the bullet because i've been conserving what savings I had until I started working full time after completing my EMT training. I like the operability of the stinger heigh10 as well as the look of the system upon completion of the install. In doing further research I found another company, "Dasaita", that also has a very similar system to the Stinger Heigh10. It has the same viewing screen size, HD camera connectivity, Wireless carplay capabilities, as well as the ability to add external amplifiers as does the Stinger Heigh10. Two of the biggest differences that I have come to figure out directly are that you are capable of essentially mirroring your phone's app's to the Dasaita Android 13 as well as the price is half the price. The Dasaita Android 13 is listed from the manufacturer at 698.00 where the Stinger Heigh10 is listed at 999.00 and the Heigh10 plus is currently listed at 1199.00. I'm usually a firm believer in the addage "Buy Once Cry Once" faculty as one of my friends introduced me to several years ago but was wondering if anyone had any experience with the Dasaita Android 13 and could offer any feedback on the radio itself. System install is very similar for both radios alike so the biggest thing that I'm looking at is people's experiences with either radio.

Much appreciated!

Though I don't have first install experience with the exact unit you are asking about, generally those offshore units are frustrating at best, and downright maddening the rest of the time. If you are a fan of the android architecture and are willing to fix the issues that come with a product that isn't tried and tested it could be a great unit. Depending on your expectations, and install ability, it could be a decent unit. Are you simply replacing the OEM unit or are you planning on doing a full stereo build?

Right now I only have intentions of replacing the OEM unit. My real intention is to get the USB’s back to working with whatever unit I can get installed. The stinger has history and quality assurance which is one thing I like. The Dasaita 13 has android compatibility and I can even install apps directly to the head unit from the play store. Which in my situation, could come in handy. This jeep will ultimately be rigged out as an emergency response vehicle. Some of the tools my departments use are installed on my phone already and being able to do a direct install to the head unit itself would be so useful.

I agree that being able to add apps from the play store is handy, just be prepared to remove and reinstall it if things go sideways. I've not had one last very long so I would verify what your options are for warranty/tech support in the future.

I'd avoid the cheap and Chinesey units by nature of the horribly written software running on old versions of Android. These things are a dime a dozen and you're likely not going to get any long-term support, let alone hardware that outlasts a Stinger radio or even the UConnect itself.

I appreciate it. I connect doesn’t work at all on jeep since I bought it used. I’ve taken the stereo out, reconnected everything manually to be sure everything was connected correctly, and finally admitted defeat so decided to upgrade the whole unit. Guess I’ll pay the extra and get a stinger once I catch up on some bills.

So bad news.. Stinger won't offer Horizon 10 OR 12 for the European market.. A total let down, as I have been waiting months. They won't even ship an unit over from USA.

Soo in light of this, I was wondering if anyone have some hands on experience with Dasaita yet? I know some Toyota guys are quite happy with it.
