Dana 35/M200 OX locker

A good local shop did my regear for bigger tires and they installed an OX electric rear locker. I’ve never used one before. The Tacoma TRD I had before this had them but I never had a need to use them.

I put it on stands. In park, tires rotate like an open differential. When I activate the locker, they don’t spin at all. Engine off, transmission in park, differential in 2wd hi.

Is this normal? How can I test if it’s working? I’ve only got about 70 miles on the break in and I don’t want to mess anything up by trying it out driving.

Yes. This is expected.

Put the transfer case in neutral. Then lock the locker and spin the tires. Both tires should spin the same direction and the driveshaft should also spin.
