Based on what‘s been posted in other threads, this is accurate. I‘m flip flopping on placing my order since I want Gorilla Glass (GG) which has been causing delays. I believe if you have a ”regular” spec JL it’ll be built in the quicker timeframe.
It’s worth waiting for IMO.

I ordered a JLU Willys with Gorilla Glass on June 12th and had a VIN that same week. I’ve been checking back on a build status every week with FCA Chat and keep getting a reply that it is in the scheduling phase but they are still gathering parts and as soon as they are available it will be scheduled for build. They did not say which parts and I asked my dealer if it was Gorilla Glass but he had not heard that GG was an issue and could not tell if it was based on other orders he had pending. FCA chat keeps saying to check back next week. So I am 4 weeks into an order I was told would take 6-8 weeks to deliver.

That’s pretty normal. Went the same with the wife’s two door. They still hit the 8-12 weeks for IDaho delivery

We are getting close to the 2021/2022 change over, I think. Doesn’t it “normally” occur in July/august? Prices will likely go up for 2022 but, it may be worth waiting to order at this point…..

Delays this year are causing 2022 to start production in December

Hey y’all. I have a buddy that’s in the market for a new Jeep. Currently most dealerships only have a couple Jeep’s to choose from but most are all rubicon’s. Anyways he asked the gm of the dealership about placing an order for what he wants and they said 6months to a year to build. He then proceeded to try a second dealer to test drive a couple more models and they said it’s closer to two months for a build here in the states. Anyone In the states verify rough build times?
Ordered 7/14 est time is 11/3

I was told today 12-14 weeks is about the average wait. Kind of sounds all over the board though after scrolling through the thread.

Mine took 11 days to build. It took longer to ship to the dealer
then build so luck of the draw plays into this as well.

i believe it all comes down to money.... the more expansive rubicon and rubicon 4xe seem to be being pushed through over the more basic models. shame.

I just ordered mine on 8/22/2021 when I chatted with FCA 2 days later they confirmed the VIN. and said all the parts are in stock, and it will be going in production soon. I chatted with them again yesterday and they said I have a frame and it is in work. I have no clue if what they are telling me is correct or not, and no clue how they schedule these builds. The dealership told me 6 weeks min. as much as 14 weeks.

I was told by several dealerships that there will be a considerable price increase for 2022. I don't know for sure, it was just word of mouth but I did ask one finance manager and they said for sure there will be a price increase, how much? she couldn't say.

I figured just order it now, at 21 prices, get it over with and wait for however long just to stay at the 21 pricing.

I am trying to be optimistic and positive here. But I think, or like to think that they are trying to push the 2021 year end builds because they want to start selling the 22's. One person mention that there may not be any incentives on the new 22's and I agree. They rarely offer anything on the Wrangler anyway and my thinking was they will want top dollar to start with on the 22's. Why I ordered the 21 now. Good luck to all waiting on their builds.

From what I see at dealerships, and on this forum most are the higher end trim levels. Again trying to be optimistic but I think if you order a base trim right now you are more likely to get it sooner because they have those parts lying around cause not many order the base level. Speaking mostly of the interior parts. Starting a few years back, I have yet to see a base trim with manual windows on a dealers lot. Always with the power options.
