Corrosion issue, past 5 year mark

Going through that process now. Jeep Cares is who you need to contact regarding getting a rental covered. You will have to pay up front for the rental and once you are done with the rental your turn the receipt into Jeep Cares for “their review” and they will determine how much of the rental cost they will cover.

Huge caveat- I was told they will only cover the cost if the rental is a Stellantis/FCA brand vehicle.

also- you have to call Jeep Cares before or on the first day you get your rental. I made the mistake of calling them 6 days into having the rental and they are telling me they can’t reimburse me for those days and can only consider reimbursement starting the day I contacted them to start my reimbursement claim.

And the work on my Jeep was projected for 3 weeks but is now going into its 4th week because once they pulled off the hood, they found corrosion on one of the front fenders. On top of that we had Southern Snowmaggedon here in Florida last week so that shut the body shop down nearly all of last week. Hoping it will be done this week. They are replacing all 4 doors, hood, tailgate, windshield frame, windshield, every hinge on the vehicle, and front fender plus a full repaint and blend.

Hahaha! I like your sense of humor.

the body shop broke my custom color stubby antenna cap trying to remove it. I can only get a new one free of charge if I go back to the factory black cap or they paint the factory black cap the same color as my Jeep. My Jeep is Ocean Blue Metallic and I bought a custom stubby antenna that is the color Chief from Distinction Applied.
Fortunately the body shop found a bubble in the paint on the stubby antenna and Distinction Applied sent me a new stubby antenna colored Chief……..free.

I have corrosion on my JL Rubicon 2020 and took it to get the pictures taken and measured with the areas then I had a "claim" going through and I was sent this email.

"I have had a response back from Jeep warranty goodwill and due to a change in goodwill policy this year they are offering to pay 50% of the parts only which amounts to £2398.35 towards the total claim amount of £7164.25. I appreciate this is not the answer you were hoping, if this is not acceptable to you then I can only suggest contacting Jeep customer services."

Has anyone had a similar problem and managed to get it sorted for it all to be paid for as its a common fault.

Within my five years I had my hinges and surrounding area repaired under warranty. It was a headache dealing with multiple dealers, Jeep Cares, and FCA Corporate.

Just last month I noticed some bubbling around the bottom lip of the door. It might not be everybody’s cup of tea but I just had an autobody guy prep and hit it with bedliner. $150 seemed like a good deal and I’m happy with the result.

I took my 2018 in at the 6 yr and 3 month mark and they paid for 70% of the total bill. That includes labor and parts. I didn’t have to haggle and that was the first offer Jeep gave me and I took it. I was expecting less given I was outside of the 5 year warranty. I am the original owner of the Jeep. They did ask me how often I got my oil changed and if I took it to a Jeep dealer or not to have the work done. That factors into their “calculation.”

I have a 2018, obviously out of warranty now. Just reached out to Jeep Cares about this issue and according to them it’s all out of pocket expense now. No goodwill, at least from Jeep Cares.

I should've had mine fixed. I was too scared they wouldn't match the paint correctly, and I would be more upset about that than the corrosion. I've had it in the same spots for about 5 years now. It doesn't look like it has spread any further.
