Does anyone have any phone number or connect at Mopar/Jeep to help me. My 2021 wrangler has the common corrosion under the paint on all 4 doors and the hood. I tried to get an appointment for a few weeks and finally brought it in and my corrosion warranty was expired by 1 month TO THE DAY. They submitted a goodwill claim and Mopar came back and said they would only cover 60% of the $12k paint job I was quoted. This would have been covered 100%, 1 month ago. My dealer says they won’t do anything since I didn’t buy the jeep from them and I only get overseas customer service who points me to the dealer. Jeep Cares is no help as well. This is my 3rd Jeep and 4th Stellantis vehicle! For such a common problem on the wranglers this should be a major recall. I only have 31k miles on it. Anyone with any info would be much appreciated!!

Did you take any pictures or videos of the corrosion before your 5 year mark by any chance?

Yes I do have pictures. Not close ups but you can see it if you zoom in. Especially on the hood.

I am not sure if it will work or not but I would try presenting those to them to prove that it isn't something that started in the past month. Have you confirmed the in-service date to make sure that it has indeed past the 5 year mark?

The problem is I can’t contact anyone that is helpful they keep pushing off the corrosion issue to the dealership and the dealership pushes it off to mopar corporate.

How would I check the in service date? They just said the corrosion warranty expired April 16th when I brought it in last week

If you are not the original owner or don't remember when you bought it, you can run a CarFax report to see when the vehicle was sold or put into use as a dealer demo. It will also show you where the vehicle was purchased. If you are not far from there, that dealership might be your best bet since they are the one that sold it.

Ok I will take a look, I bought it out of state so the original dealership isn’t an option. Just crazy 1 month overdue and 3rd Jeep and I can’t get any help. Thank you for the help

Recalls are for safety. This is cosmetic.

I hope you get this worked out to your satisfaction. I am curious though. Why did you wait to start getting an appointment until after your warranty expired, especially since you knew that the corrosion is a widespread and well-known issue?

I just went through this process with both of our JLUs. At the local dealership, you do not need an appointment for them to assess the corrosion and document it. You just need to show up at your convenience, and after they assess and document it, they make an appointment for you for the repair. Even if that appointment is after your warranty expiration, you are still good to go, as you had them document it before it expired.

There is a warranty expiration date for a reason. It’s on you, not them, for missing it. You should be grateful that they are offering ANY percentage of payment on the repair.

My 2021 Jeep is in the body shop getting new doors and hood replaced but Stellantis refuses to replace the corroded fenders, saying that the latest 2026 bulletin does not include fenders. Does anyone know why fenders are now excluded? I can't find the 2026 bulletin.

Oops. I just noticed I posted this question in the wrong place.

Fenders are plastic?

My take, for $12k, trade it in and start over, yes you can trade to a used one. Loss will be less than $12k.
