Anyone interested in hitting Corral Canyon on Saturday, 5/25? This is Memorial Day weekend. I'm planning on hitting Bronco Peak and Sidewinder. Sidewinder is rated a 7 and Bronco Peak is an 8 so I would suggest 37s and lockers. From what I'm reading, expect pinstriping at the very least and keep in mind that I tend to do stupid stuff in my Jeep :).

On the more difficult side but I'll have to do more research on mandatory vs. optional obstacles.

Maybe if I can get away two weekends in a row. Got a pin so I can figure where in the hell it is and how far I gotta drive.

And is it stupid stuff or fun stuff? Of course those aren't exclusive of each other.

This sounds fun, sign me up! I just got back from big bear and noticed some vibration at highway speeds. Scheduled an inspection this week, so hopefully it's just a tire balance issue. So long as that's squared away by the 25th, I'm down.

Well, when I do stupid stuff it's 99% fun. So 99% fun (but 100% stupid).

If you were scraping your bottom a bunch at big bear, there's a possibility that it may be your driveshaft, but your inspection should be able to determine that. Hopefully just some mud in the wheel or maybe you knocked off a wheel weight.

You can always order a new set of Tom Woods driveshafts just to be sure ?

Inspect the drive shaft. The ends have aluminum and are extremely easy to bend. I had a drive shaft causing vibrations after the clutch recall found the problem within a few mins of looking under the Jeep. Ordered a new JE Reel drive shaft and it’s been good since

Meetup point would probably be here or somewhere close: 32.72477162182822, -116.55927839770034

I'm thinking Sidewinder, then Bronco Peak.

Yeah, I have a Tom Woods front driveshaft, but still rocking the stock rear. Not ruling anything out, but with the surrounding skidplates and no visible damage to the rear driveshaft, I think it's unlikely. I see some ripped up residue where some wheel weights used to be so I am hoping that's the issue. That said I did bonk my driver-side rear LCA skid pretty good, so much that it deformed.

Crawled underneath before my scheduled inspection tomorrow and I am pretty sure I found the culprit to my highway vibrations. A torn drag link/pitman arm boot.
