Thinking about taking the JL out there, looks rather difficult on you tube.

I'd say it's safe to head out and you'll find something good. Bronco Peak trail and sidewinder should both be fine. Connector trail is the tough one and depending on how you JL is built, will require some skill. There's a newer trail out there and I think it's called Rattlesnake. I heard it's tough. I haven't run this area in years so take what I say, with some caution. If you head out, please report back.

Did you end up going?
Not yet. Been to big bear twice though.

Ran dishpan springs, Holcomb creek, gold mountain, devils hole, short part of John Bull (line too long) a few other connectors out there.

Going back to big bear over Labor Day. May try to make it out there after.

Finally made it out to sidewinder. we were solo and had to get back to cook seafood stew for Christmas Eve so we skipped bronco peak. Definitely the worst pin stripping I have seen, new lod bumper left plenty room to hit the exhaust.

Short but fun, definitely too short for the drive (for me) without two loops or hitting other trails.
