Cooling fan noise

Now that summer is here, I’m curious if the cooling fan noise on the diesels is the same as the gassers? I’m still surprised at how load my cooling fan on my 3.6 is when the AC is on in this summer heat. Thanks in advance for your replies.

They were louder in 2018 but I think they tuned the software so not quite as loud. Had mine for 18 months and I don't think it is very loud.

I had the ROAR when the AC was on AC MAX in regard to the 3.6, in my 2018 JL..

Then, I had this TSB performed and no longer does my JL "roar". It's actually very quit now.

Hint: In order to get the stealership to perform the TSB, you MUST tell them you are experiencing the condtions you see on the TSB. Otherwise they may not want to do / or do....

SO, lie or whatever 8-) but do tell them you have each of the issues mentioned on the TSB... Sometimes it is wise to ask to talk to the Service Manager before the JL goes back to the shop... let him know you will be displeased if they do not do the TSB. Forget talking to the Service Writer at the desk.....

My 2020 JLR with 3.6 & 8-sp auto is quite loud at times-but you really do not notice it much in the cab, plus my A/C is ice cold and I want no-one touching it!

Get in line at a Taco Bell on a hot day and select MAX AC setting in your JL. My guess is you will hear your JL roar or become very loud.

The TSB I mentioned had no impact on my AC... still ICE Cold as always.... 8-)

Hmm. It's a simple update to the software version, right? The old software shouldn't be used anymore, you would think. I've never touched another JL, I have no idea.

I have cut my vents and when I look at otb design it looks like the same thing but for $200.
I have not noticed any difference with my hood vents open.
