Hey everyone! Been running into an issue with my Jeep as of late and figured I would start here first. I have found similar issues posted but nothing exactly like this yet.
Essentially, while my Jeep is running fine and feels like it is operating as it should when operating it, the heating only works when I get to about 35mph and only heats with the outdoor air system selected, not the internal system. Otherwise, it will blow the ambient temperature outside. The other issue I am noticing is if I am going under 30mph or idling, my engine temps spike up much higher than I want to be (240+), but never to the point where it "overheats", and have figured out ways to cool it down when it does happen. The temps never have a rhyme or reason of when and how much it spikes when it does happen, but generally it only happens in that condition when it does happen. When going at any speeds higher than 35 all temperatures are at normal levels.
I did get the cooling hose replaced last year, as the original to this Jeep cracked (2018 model year) and I do not see any coolant that has been leaking, both on the ground or in the internal compartment bays. When the coolant hose issue happened, both were noticed but more so in the compartment bays. That is the only repair I have had done on the vehicle so far, other than adding OEM Rubicon shocks and springs. I also haven't had any check engine codes come up, so nothing to diagnose off of that either. I am currently at 84,000 with my Jeep if that helps any as well.
Any idea what could be causing these issues?
