OK, here is a couple of shots sitting in the drivers seat in what would be a normal driving position. My phone camera is set to wider angle to show the dash, it makes the mirror housing a bit distorted, although it's not in real life.

Ok... You say you like seeing a "thin slice of the car" .... but can the mirror be adjusted with the control switch to eliminate that thin slice..

Why.. because most people do not want that thin slice... They want all the wider angle they can get.

The reason I'm asking these pointed ? is to get answers for guys that might consider doing as you did..

I’ll let you know my opinion in late December

No worries at all, glad to help out as this bugged me as well. To put it in context, this mirror is the same as the USA model. The adjustment switch works the same, you position it to where you want it just like normal, it really is no different than the flat glass fitting except the mirror itself is convex. Works the same in every way, and adjusts using the small electric door switch to place it where you desire. If you placed this mirror next to a Jeep with a convex mirror from the factory (like in Germany, France etc), you would not be able to tell the difference...at all.

The size, shape and even the rear mounting (black plastic) showing the wire connections and heater strips looked identical to the flat glass I took off. By comparison, there was little to no difference between my old flat and this new convex, which is what I was looking for....basically a factory look.

You ordered both L & R mirrors?
Just the drivers mirror as I happen to like the passenger mirror with the writing on it (I know....I know), but then again, if you replaced the passenger mirror it would match identically to the original, you would essentially be erasing the "Objects in Mirror..." statement. As I said, for some silly reason, I like the text.

Lastly, the vertical dotted line towards the edge of the mirror is a European thing, probably a law....and in that section there is slightly more of a convex bend to help widen the rear view. I go to Europe a lot, and all vehicles that I have been in, rented or otherwise, have these lines in the mirror. The official name for this type of mirror is "aspherical". Always gotta be bloody technical over there!

Here, I captured this VW Euro Aspherical Mirror purely as an example (not related to the Jeep Mirror) as you can see....same thin dotted line. It actually works believe it or not, the line is the divider where the convex goes a bit more convex if that makes sense. Ultimately....It works and does the job.

....and for the detailed oriented, unlike the Suma mirrors, these are the same "clear" mirrors as the original ones. You guys need too much detail....just like me, a dude gotta know and be sure. But rest assured, If I like 'em, you will too.

Just the left to see how it goes, my tight is able to give me pretty good visibility
As long as your happy with the right as it is.

For sure a convex mirror on the passenger side will give you a far wider view butv if you do not want..

I have had the Suma Performance side view mirrors on mine for over 2.5 yrs. and they are pure pleasure.

You will appreciate that convex mirror. Post here how you make out with it. I and other's will want to know..

How much was the one with all fees?

Will do, they seems to only sell them separately, but that’s moot at this point since I bought the left only. I think my right side gives me pretty good visibility, but if this one makes a huge difference, I’ll consider the other dide
