Constant sand-window track

I swear I clean this thing like it’s going out of style but any tricks on keeping my windows from constantly getting mauled by sand in the tracks. Sounds freaking terrible.

I suspect a bit of vaseline along the bottom would work so long as you don't roll down the windows and smear them up?
