Hello, Yesterday and today driving my Jeep in below freezing weather I noticed that the battery voltage on the screen says its @ 15V.

Is this normal for cold weather (20 degrees F outside)?

Are my batteries shot? No warnings or lights on dash.

Yesterday my power steering went out while on the freeway after passing someone at around 75mph, as I slowed down while pulling over on the shoulder it came back at around 30mph.....Maybe its related? I have a feeling.

Your charging system is working hard to get those batteries back from a lower voltage.

The more important check to make is what to see the overnight resting voltage is. If it's below 12.5, then you may have an issue with the batteries.

Best to do a load test to verify.

Totally normal.
It takes more to charge a cold battery - a lot more, and the last 20% is the hardest.

PS could be a ground issue - there's at least one TSB out there on that, as well as other bulletins for ground issues on these (and the JT)

I've noticed a difference between the 2022 or so and the earlier models - 2020 used to stick at 14.8 and 2022 I see 15.0 a lot more - sometimes for 30 minutes of driving in 20 degree weather.
