Hi all I've been noticing a clicking noise that seems to be coming from the from driver side wheel well only when I turn right.

Unless it also happens when I turn right and I'm just not hearing it.

Has anyone experienced this? I'm probably going to take it into the dealer, feel like something isn't tightened and hoping it's not u joint already going bad.

Iā€™ve noticed this as well. Clicks only when I turn. Havenā€™t noticed if itā€™s both sides. Everything seems to be working fine except that noise. Interested to hear what you find out.

I had the same thing with mine except when turning left. It recently went away on its own though.

Hi JLSpartan, 1quick1, and Deride,

Thank you for sharing your experience. This is not what we like to hear for our new JL owners. At this time, have you had a chance to bring this to your dealer's attention? If additional assistance is needed while in service, please send us a private message.

I had been having this same issue and just wanted to provide an update for anyone who is having a similar issue. It sounds like it may be becoming more prevalent.

I had the same issue: a metal-like clicking sound at low speeds, typically 1-3 clicks at a time. I really couldn't figure out any pattern to it. It sounded like it was coming from the left front. It was really only noticeable with the windows down or the doors off. I didn't notice any issues with steering, transmission, etc., it was just annoying.

I took it in this week and they found that a left front ball joint bolt was not properly torqued. I can confirm that fixed the issue. I hope this saves y'all some time if you take it to your dealer.

This sounds exactly like my issue.

Just one more QC fail to add to the list. Just a loose ball joint. No big deal when traveling at high speeds.

Took my Jeep to get this clicking checked out at the Jeep dealership I purchased it at. First they claimed they couldnt hear it, then they said the clicking is normal, then they claimed they ran it by FCA and they said the Jeep is running the way itā€™s suppose to. What makes that incompetence worse I went to also have the recall fixed, oil changed, and tires rotated since they were free. I forgot to give them the key to my locking lug nuts yet they claim they rotated them and put it on the bill. Who knows if they did any of it. Has anyone had any luck solving this problem other than loose ball joints?

Hello Deride,

Are you thinking you'd like to get a second opinion? I'm not a technician so I can't advise on this but if you do end up going, let me know. I'd be glad to help.

My appointment is tomorrow. I recorded a video and I plan on being very detailed so they don't give me the "we can't reproduce the problem" trick. I'm hoping it's fixed tomorrow. Starting a 3,000 mile road trip on Friday!

Iā€™ll have to try to get it on video. Interested in hearing what they tell you.

Update on my clicking problem. I needed an entire new front left hub assembly. Had to drive around with the dealer mechanic to show them. Unfortunately needed to be ordered.

Any word on what this issue is from your dealer?
