Having seen @Gregj pair of fine JLUs in person I concur, superb examples of well built Jeeps!
Sorry @LOBBS back on the rails now :)
It's always all good. I love the banter that's gone on in this thread about everyone's Jeeps new and old.

So, here's where things start to take the retro turn. I'm in my early 40's so the Jeeps I grew up ogling were the CJs. I just love this particular style of stripes on the Renegades. I've reached out to Pixel Decals to rework them a bit to fit the proportions of the JL. Hopefully, I'll see them this summer but he did warn me that he has a lot of projects on his plate.

That CJ-7 is a total chick magnet. 2 doors of course. No 4 door pozers please.

And to think that little JLR might be supercharged someday, just winning in every direction!

Don’t flame me on my JKUR In this JL forum. I owned a new out of the box 1984 CJ-7 my first vehicle I bought with my own money and drive until until 2004. Inspired my next buy.

Not my bumper but looks like it would be pretty simple to make. Looks like 6x6 3/16 inch square tube, slice it down the middle and get some JK d ring mount’s. The hoop might require some researching. That’s similar to mine.

Also not mine, but the Warrior Products 3" universal would make an easy bolt-on for the hoop.

Sorry for the delay in replying to this. I haven’t been online for a while.

I had that bumper made in 2009 by a member of either this or another JK forum. It’s 7 gauge flat steel, brake shaped, laser cut rounded edges and factory fog light cutouts with welded light brackets on the inside. I added the Rugged Ridge brackets, towing bracket and hoop, all of it unbolts.

I took it off recently and replaced it with a different stubby bumper for my new winch. It’s in perfect condition.

It’s currently sitting in my garage and for sale. PM if you want to discuss. Here’s a picture of it before I removed it.

Thanks! I actually already have begun working on my own as well! I had a metal shop bend me up some 10 gauge steel. Here’s how it looks before I bolt it up with the d ring mounts. I also will be adding a semi hidden winch into the bumper.

@LOBBS Did you regear the jeep?
I'm still waiting on my front gears from Quadratec ?. I can only assume that Jeep is getting first dibs on 4.56s for the XR package but I don't know how they're splitting up the rest of the supply. I just know that I've been on the backlog for over a year now. At this point, I'm seriously debating forcing them to take back the rear gears I do have and going with 4.88s if they can actually fulfill those.
