Chip Shortage causing shortages yet?

anyone else noticing not much if any supply of Wranglers right now?

2 local smaller dealers only have 1-2 wranglers.

1 larger one in VA, Koons doesn't seem to have many rubicons at all nor 4xe's

wondering if i'm not looking hard enough or if the chip shortage is impacting jeeps too

It's affecting all new vehicles, yes.

Prices reflecting also. The dealer I bought my Jeep from raised prices quite a bit on their limited inventor and they originally had some of the lowest prices in the nation.

I work in Semi .. it's crazy because we supply but also have to be customers. So it's super busy but tough on the procurement side

Well hate to bring more bad news but along with the semiconductor shortages there is talk of a potential strike at the Toledo plant that hit the news channels last night.

Just to keep these salesman/auto companies honest - TSMC is saying they expect this will soon be in the rear view mirror .....

"Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. , the world’s largest contract chip maker, said it expects the chip shortage that has hampered car makers to start easing in the next few months after it ramped up its production of auto chips.

The company is on track to increase output of microcontrollers used in cars by about 60% this year compared with last, Chief Executive C.C. Wei said in an earnings call on Thursday. However, he said, the broader semiconductor shortage could persist until 2022."
