Check Engine light in Run, but not started

Howdy folks,

I've noticed that while in 'Run' the check engine light comes on. I attached my reader and 0 DTC is what pops up. When I start the Jeep, it clears from the dash (maybe I just need to dive into my reader to ensure I'm not missing something).

Any ideas?

I just installed the 12v twin arb compressor. Removed it from the battery leads and still the same thing.

I believe the check engine light is always on when the vehicle is in RUN and the engine is not running. User's Guide, P75 "The light will illuminate when the ignition is in the ON/RUN position before engine start."

I just notice this on my jeep, mine does a single chime and engine light stays lit. OP - does your do a single chime?

Dude. It’s always on when the engine is not running and power is on.

If it’s not on, you have a bad pcm. Good diagnostic indicator.

the chime is normal.
