So not sure what is going on. The last week my check engine light will come on and the Jeep gets stuck in 3rd gear and won't shift. Just keeps revving up and even from a stop starts in 3rd. May have happened in second one of the earlier times but this time I paid attention and it was 3rd. Not sure if it is 3rd gear specific.

No codes are being shown with my tazer. I end up clearing codes to remove check engine light and full reboot with sleep cycles with the tazer.

Then it will run fine for a while. And randomly decide to do it again. About 4 times this past week.

I have no idea what is going on. I have an RK 3.5 x factor lift, 37s. Had 37s for 2k miles
had 35s before that. Steering wheel is centered.

I just rebooted and the engine light went away.

Does anyone have any suggestions or things to look at.

First thing I did when I got the jeep was seat all my fuses and they are all good.

I have noticed it shifting a little rough at times, like when I go to reverse it pops roughly in reverse after a slight delay at times. Some jerky shifts as well when accelerating and rpms go up it sort of hangs and then pops into the next gear.

Have them check the wire harness. I had all sorts of intermittent problems with CEL, DEF Pump, replaced fuse block, and replaced ECU. In the end, they found one of the pins in the harness connected by a single strand of copper wire. These electronics get very finicky when they don’t get the expected voltages. Or, your dealer will probably blame the mods?

Definitely hoping they don't blame the mods if I have to take it in.

I did notice this shortly after having to recent the steering wheel.

I did a whole day of offroading today and even evening driving without any issues. I'm going to keep an eye on it and see what happens.

The rough shifting I notice is mainly when everything isn't warmed up yet. And it's mainly going to reverse or 4th.

In that case, before you head to the dealer look underneath and see if you ripped a wiring harness off of the tranny.
