I have the Mopar 82216358AA RV Towing Harness for 18-21 Jeep Wrangler JL PATCH CORD to connect the jeep to the RV. I use a Brake Buddy auxiliary brake in the jeep while flat towing. I need a 12V+ lead to keep the jeep battery charged since the Brake Buddy draws from the jeep battery for towing. The 12V+ pin on the 7-pin connector to the RV is being used to power the relays in the Jeep to allow the lights to run off of the RV. Does anyone have a solution to provide 12V+ to the trickle charger to the Jeep battery? Is there enough amperage on the 12V+ pin on the 7-pin RV connector to power the trickle charger and the relay in the jeep? Thanks in advance for any responses.

When I wired my JL for a toad. I ran power from the main Jeep battery to supply power to my brake system. I'm not sure what you are talking about powering relays for lights from the 12V in the 7-pin connector. The lights on my JL are powered from the wiring harness coming from the coach, running lights, brake and turn signal. I have diodes installed at the lights where I spliced in to prevent back feeding to the Jeep from the coach.

I ran a separate charge wire from the center pin of the 7-pin connector which supplies the 12V power to my main battery.
I installed a 15 amp diode and a fuse for that wire at the battery.
