Womp womp.

Guess I have a date with my Service Department. Hope this isn’t the start of a dysfunctional relationship...

Hopefully, the service folks will have that all sorted out quickly.

Check to see if your fuses are seated
Checking for "seated fuses" makes me laugh every time. Let's say the fuse blade(Male end) is 1/2" long "seating" it another 1/8" makes 0 difference on how the fuse operates or how power flows through the fuse panel.

I had this discussion with another person. We went to the Toyota dealer and checked Tubdra fuses, guess what. They weren't "seated".

It was more of a joke. “Check your fuses” is the standard reply when you get electronic errors

I started it on my way to work this morning and got the dreaded CEL. Seemed to drive ok (possibly a little sluggish from a stop) but I am bringing that thing in ASAP. Got an appt tomorrow morning. I had noticed that after the particularly nasty blizzard we had a 3-4 months back (the cyclone thing?), I got a lot of snow inside the engine and the air filter. Ever since that day, every time I start it, the engine would hiccup and run rough for about 10 seconds or so and then stop. Has done that ever since every time I start it. First CEL though. This is the only issue I have had with it after 3,500 miles.

Anyone have any thoughts/guesses on what it might be?

EDIT: regarding the engine air filter, there wasn't a lot of snow in it but there was water....

For those interested, the dealership found out that the Jeep had a bad PCV valve. Unfortunately the only one available is in Denver and they are getting it first thing in the morning. So hopefully it should be ready for pick up early afternoon.

Did the new PCV valve fix the rough idle/hiccuping on cold starts? I’ve noticed mine does the same exact thing except no check engine light, yet anyhow lol

Hi Scott, just got back from a trip. To answer your question, yes it immediately stopped the issues I was having. However, I have noticed that this winter it is acting very similar to last winter and I'm wondering if it is having the same issue. No CEL yet either but I guess we will see. Good luck with yours.
