Why won't any AZ dealers give us a good price? The best I've seen is $1000 below invoice when so many dealers are offering so much better in the rest of the country. I have a trade so buying out of state is complicated. I could sell my JK on my own but then I'd have to rent a car and I would have to sell it for quite a bit more to cover the sales tax savings of trading it in. So frustrating seeing all these good deals! :swear::angry:
That's actually quite fair, even on a higher-end JL. That'd be almost 2.5% under invoice on my Rubicon. Yeah, there are places that charge less, but I don't think anybody would say that's not a good price.

Yeah it's just hard when I see so many getting 5% plus off. I have a hard time leaving money on the table. But I also don't want to put the effort in to buy out of state so...
Actually I just don't want to rack up the miles on my brand new Jeep driving it back.

HAHAHA, this stinks of a desk manager. They are idiots. Contact the internet guy if you are searching out and about for a deal/price. They know what the story is. The desk managers are idiots and order takers incapable of free thought.

Product specialist? I must be getting old. We called the new guys green peas. I think I mentioned quite awhile ago the JL isn't special. Soon the only available option will be the JL and we should all be back to normal.

I believe dealers know your local and they play hard ball.

Would these deals apply to a lease? Other than the possibility the financing.

Or will they only do this on a sale?

Thanks!

this was the reply bobbaker gave me sounds like sour grapes and hard ball

Mr. Jeffery,

The tan top continues to not be available. Congratulations on the pricing you have been offered. You will, of course, incur costs in taking delivery out-of-state and then the time and energy in registering the Jeep once it is in CA. You will also be charged $699 for “processing,” according to one of the attachments, which you didn’t mention.

I will defer to Manny on what our store will offer, but I am removing myself from any further discussions on this topic.

Wow. That sucks.

I don't get why Cali local dealers don't match out of state factory orders. It's not like you are wanting to pay that for the vehicle on the lot (it would be nice). They will not be making any money on it but will be considered as a high volume dealership if they take these deals. They are missing out on units being sold just to mark up the wranglers on the lot.

A good friend of mine lives in Orange County and he purchased here in Las Vegas. Got it for cheap and paid his sales tax and registration as soon as he arrived home. Its not a big deal its easy , your going to pay the sales tax anyways. The only difference is its not in your loan. Just plan ahead and pay it out of pocket.

Looks like I may be ordering from Jim Marsh. Gave me a 6% below invoice quote with Tread Lightly. $500 more with my own financing (he just said if I don’t use one of their lenders, not Chrysler financing only). Their doc fees are still lower than the ridiculous $643 my current dealer is charging. Plus my dealer is trying to play games so I may have to start all over. It’s been 1 week short of 3 months since I placed my original order and it still is just in JS. Hopefully the second one will be quicker.

Do they provide any build status updates at Jim Marsh or do you have to email and ask?

I haven’t received any build updates from them. I’ve been using Jeep Chat and I signed up for level 3 JeepGarage.com membership which provides daily tracking for $25

FYI - I placed an order w/ Doug Wilson. I didn’t get a special deal, just the Tread Lightly discount, however, Doug is a straight shooter and a Marine vet. He’s a handshake sort of guy that is sorely missed these days. I was just happy to get the Tread Lightly affiliate deal without any dealer accessories tomfoolery and he was cool with me financing thru Navy Fed. He only asked that I use their financing if they beat Navy Fed, fair enough. Also, he’s personally driving it up to LA.
