Cargo Light Wiring Connector

Rear cargo light: How exactly does one disconnect the light wiring connector plug pictured below? I've tried pliers and small flat screwdriver and can't get it to release.

Hard to see, limited space, big hands, no leverage... couldn't find this type on YouTube video... so frustrated, please help!

Push tab in with a small flat screwdriver and pull apart connector.
