Yep - Villa’s Mexican Grill 413 N Main StIt’s a bit of a ride for you from Texas. But rumor has it that there is a wash connected to a Mexican restaurant with a liquor license in Livingston, CA. Worth the ride in my opinion. Planning my retirement around it.

I like to start with a nice mud bath, then exfoliate with trail side brush and tree branches. Once home, hose off the big chunks in the driveway, and then drive through a car wash with spinning brushes twice In a row. The car wash brushes help blend in the pinstriping from brush and tree branches. It's a Jeep. Wash it by driving into a river with a nice stony bottom. Make big splashes. Have fun.
Agreed, there are several good brands. Pick a name brand and stick with that battery and charger system
Definitely agree. Brushless is the way to goFind a brushless car wash and hand dry. No sense grinding other peoples dirt into your paint. Just my pet peeve ...sorry :o).
That's why during this time of year, I am out there before the sun comes up. It is a perfect time to wash vehicles. It's often too hot here to hand wash (dries too quickly)
Take it to a reputable place that does ceramic coating they'll do what is called a paint correction and have it ceramic coated. It'll look like new an you won't be able to tell, if it is done right.FWIW. After a day on the trail with the family we stopped of at a fuel station before getting home and I was cleaning the bugs from the windshield and went in to use the restroom. While I was in there my bonus son decided to use the fuel station’s squeegee to wash the hood of my one day old brand new JL. Only had 500 miles on it. The next day I washed the jeep and my wife came out and flipped when she saw the hood(I hadn’t seen it yet) and thought I had just done it. And was like what did you do and my heart sank. So I went and looked at it and the hood is scratched so bad it has a giant T on it. Across the front of the hood going back towards the windshield. I was like why on earths would I wash my car this way and she got this look of dread on her face. What’s that look for? She said bonus son did that while I was in the bathroom at the fuel station last night and she didn’t think any of it. Anyway. I have 1000 miles on it and still have my bonus sons mark on the hood! We figured I’m going to do a lot worse On the trail so no need to freak out. So he got a lesson on how to properly wash a car! And what not to use on the paint!
This was my question as well. I’ve been to multiple different car washes many times and never have had this happen. I’m wondering about tire width, any spacers, or just a subpar car wash setup.Ok back to the topic at hand…
what size are your tires? Is it possible they are too wide for the rails at the car wash to accommodate? I only use the tunnel type car washes sparingly in the winter but I have never had my Jeep jump the track as you describe
Bonus son... Lol, I can relate. BTW a good detailer can just polish it out. It should only be surface scratches in the clear coat.FWIW. I believe in both California and Arizona, I think all car washes have to recycle the water.Do or find/hire the local kid to hand wash. The brushes are absolutely disgusting and the water is recycled (think grey water) and the chemicals are corrosive. I wire car washes and like restaurants if you saw the back room you wouldn't eat there.
