bro it's OEM that's why it says Jeep :CWL: Are you gonna pull all of the badging on your rig so you don't advertise for free......
@Chile1

I remove logos and branding when I can.... on products that I just can't get without logo / branding..

Sometimes I run from / avoid offerings because of non-removable logos...

NO, I do not want cutsey, fugly logos, to advertise for anyone ... and I don't want my vehicle to look like a patch work quilt so to speak.

Though I really like my addons' manufactured by Bestop, Redline Tuning, Alien, etc., I promptly removed their logo on the add on before I installed..

YES, I will rant publicly about an offering but no, no will not let my vehicle be tattooed so to speak with logos..

Anyway, to each his own... but most guys / gals that I know aren't thrilled with logos/branding on their aftermarket add ons.. and will do as I do in regard to such tattooed offerings.

i'm with you on not wanting logos on my Jeep and that's why i try to only mod with Mopar OEM parts, unlike some that prefer to frankenbuild.

Way late to the game but this may be worth sharing….

Returned two Bushwhacker deflectors this week as the ends were poorly formed - on both. The second was badly creased too, although all shipping and packaging material was in good shape. It was clearly packaged in damaged condition. Terrible quality control….. so I ordered an AVS deflector. They look the same….. they probably are.

Was looking at the install instructions for the AVS. The address listed for the manufacturer is at the same address as for Bushwhacker, in Buford GA, three miles from my home. In retrospect the AVS appears to be exactly the same item as Bushwhacker from the same people with a logo added. You all probably figured that out already.

AVS arrives tomorrow. Is quaility control better for the branded deflector? We shall see.

@DHartlein

Quality control these days is the chiitts at some places...

I would have sent it back and had a 3rd sent... or more even, until I got one that was aok.

That is why I bought the Bushwacker I have from Amazon so returns/exchanges were easy and on cost to me.

By the way, yes it is pretty obvious that the AVS and Bushwacker are the same BUT.... the AVS has a logo printed on it -> AVS ... that I would not want. Bushwacker one, has no logo...

You are more patient than me. All Amazon here, more than two defective is not worth the hassle. But don’t necessarily disagree….

Point is I ordered the AVS after two fails with Bushwhacker, the second worse than the first, thinking it was a different manufacturer. Not interested in returning three. Then put the pieces together AVS appears to be made by the same company under a different name, Bushwhacker apparently = AVS. May be obvious but it surely is not in their marketing. Checked the company address on their respective install instructions. Same folks, and AVS is often at a higher price point.

I can live with the logo. If this one is defective that’s three from the same folks….. sheesh.

Just an update…. The AVS arrived today. Fits perfectly, flush on both sides. Exactly the right length. All edges clean and straight. No issues with misformed ends like I saw with both Bushwhackers. Logo is reasonably nonintrusive. Color seems darker, a little more sheen on the AVS than the Bushwhackers..

AVS was taped to a full length cardboard insert in the box, keeping it stable. Otherwise, packaging inside the box was identical. AVS box was a little bigger and longer, was heavily branded. Just different, quality control was the problem with Bushwhacker, not shipping.

I put the Bushwacker one on mine over the weekend. Looks factory, no complaints. I was mostly looking to protect the leading edge of the hood from sand and rock chips.

This spring I will probably plasti-dip the grille.

Yeah, mine was a little weird as well. I also had to run a razor around the entire edge and sand off the swarf before installing it

@Pinion

Did the same with mine.. Only took say 5 min to do... After doing you could not see I had done that.
Was just on the driver's side .... near where the latch was located..

My Bushwacker has been on for a long time now and has not budged at all. That double sided tape that comes with it is very good...

The JL spends a lot of time in the Florida, Sun and to this day looks like new... I d occasionally treat it with 303 Protectorant as I do all the other black plastic on the outside of the JL.

The two I were returned were not salvageable - 1/4" short on the drivers side, equally short and formed crooked on the passenger's side, with divots 1/2" further. Didn't look anything like Rhinebeck01's examples, which look good. The AVS fits like his bushwhacker. Guess I got the bottom of the barrel.

If I had cut the passenger side on the two Bushwhackers to straight they would have been 3/4" short. They were a mess. 1/4" short with a 1/2" divot cutting in beyond that. The driver side was 1/4" short out of the box. Could have lived with that but the passenger sides were not salvageable, almost looked melted. Glad you could fix yours, what I got was ridiculously bad - never should have shipped.

@Rachel Ruby

Guys/gals that have bug deflectors ...stone guard's usually report the thing does cut down on windshield bug hits and pebble hits but they are not all that great.... You still get some bugs to the windshield.

I travel the interstates often, so I wanted something to deflect bugs and small stones and to keep the front end of the JL from getting chipped up. I also wanted some black contrast on the front of my JL.

This offering helped a bit with bug hits and small stone hits and indeed has prevented front stone chips/chips.

No drilling required. Fastens on easily and very securely with 3M double sided tape.
