To operate your propane grille when dispersed camping on Dumont Dunes, you must have a California Fire Permit.

I’m grateful everyone obliged and no forest fires were created there.….

Just curious how much that costs for the 2 permits. I'm all for safety, education, and reminding idiots. Sadly the people that cause the fires would never interact with something like this.

The campfire permit has no monetary charge. It just takes a few minutes of your time to donate your personal information.

I just got my permit in case I do get to go camping this year. Is it just me or does the permit print out super blurry?

I have printed out the permit now for several years and yes, the print is not sharp but is readable.

I’m surprised the state of CA permits anyone to light a fire for any reason at this point…
I mean, haven’t we proven that the entire state of CA is actually constructed on top of a giant pile of highly flammable EV batteries, kindling and gasoline?
