I spent about one year, 91-92, in CA and that was enough. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. No way I'm returning. I didn't even want to connect at LAX on my way to Hawaii 15 year ago.

There are still some good qualities about the geography of CA if you’re an outdoor type and you know where to find them. If you want to wheel in the dunes one day and wheel in the snow at 8000 feet the next. Otherwise there’s admittedly many downsides as well.
I’ll leave politics for others to discuss since it ends nowhere good…for some it ends with an unplanned vacation from the forum.

We do have great weather here although that's excluding this week. Yesterday I had to caulk the Prius and float it across 5 rivers to get home from work. I lost 1 ox, 8 sets of clothes and 1 box of bullets on that journey.

That's a real problem too because you couldn't buy firearms in the version I played in the 80s.

I could have gotten a great deal on an axle though. Only $12.50!
