Well, I guess if they install it, I'll make sure that's part of the deal. Its a dealer calibration for now, until the aftermarket catches up.
Yep. The 2" lift is a must for wheeling. I'm waiting for it before buying tires.
Just saw this on the tube, FYI.
Your dealer needs to find out how to do it since they are supposed to know how. They are being lazy.My dealer said they can only calibrate to largest factory size, which is 33's.
So if I upgrade to 35's I have to find somewhere else to calibrate. But I could put the 33s on my 17 and have dealer calibrate that one.
Has anyone found a shop that can calibrate the jlu to 35's?
For a $120 I'd deal with the 6% diff. Like I said in another post, the upside is your odo shows 6% fewer miles as well...My dealer said they couldn't do it, so I should wait for an aftermarket programmer tool. I found another dealer that does lots of lifts, and they said they could do it. They quoted 120 bucks and about 5 minutes to do it.
Yeah, it makes me want to wait for a Pro-Cal and spend a little more, but I'm OCD about this kind of stuff. I want it right. I may see about having them install my lift and then see if they'd just throw in the flash. For a $120 I'd deal with the 6% diff. I believe the message says when you try to program 35" tires "unsupported tire size". There isn't a way for them to do it . Just like you couldn't program anything larger than a 255/75R17 / 255/70R18 (32.06) on a JK.Your dealer needs to find out how to do it since they are supposed to know how. They are being lazy.
A dealer near me that does lots of lifts said they can do it. They don't do it by tire size, but by height with the Jeep's weight on it.I believe the message says when you try to program 35" tires "unsupported tire size". There isn't a way for them to do it .
