Oh, I think you were right to ask that kind of question to narrow down the possibilities. I was just saying I had the 8.4 and it doesn't do it to add to the database and help you eliminate it as a possibility. I'm right with you in trying to figure this out. Please forgive me if it came across the wrong way.
No I just felt I needed to explain my thought process. All good. It would take a LOT more to work me up on the internet

Ok, here is an update. And by the way I have the 8.4” screen. After posting that it work and auto corrected, on the way home I noticed that it was off again. I pulled up my gps app and sure enough it was off by 5mph like it should be. I left the app up and running and about a mile into my trip home it self correct and was accurate again. This is got to be totally driven by the gps/nav system communicating to the speedometer. My guess is it will revert back to the factory setting each time the power is off and the Jeep sits for a bit. So a programmer (when one is available) or a dealer programming will make it more accurate and not have to be relearned every time the car is turned off. The plus side is I won’t have to shell out $125 at the dealer because it works good enough for now and will get a programmer when they are available. I am supplying picture for the people in doubt (I would be too) to show the speedo is correct with 37’s on it. My daughter took the pics for safety reasons, :like:

I assume you did this same test prior to the new tires?

I bought my JLUR last night and part of the wait was them programing for the 35's we put on it.

They said they had to get a Jeep Service order to get the codes and it was done.

I will check it with my GPS tomorrow and let you know.
Well, it is still off by 1 mph but not going to care.

Worked.

When I called a couple of dealers here in Austin, they quoted the fee of $125 but also mentioned I would need to buy a one time license for the programmer module ($200+). Is that accurate?

I was at my dealer today and they told me the same but worded it where all I would pay is the $125. I'm going to have them set mine to 34.5" for the BFG KO2's.

Mine is at the dealer to do the flash for my sport to 315/70/17's. I was fine being off 1-3mph on the Rubicon sized 285/70/17 but these ones have these speedo way off. Keep in mind it is programmed from the factory for 245/75/17 so it's quite the difference. Interesting the requested the Jeep for a whole day since they say writing the service contract is time consuming? No clue but I'll post up tonight or tomorrow A.M. how it does and what the final cost is. I was told something similar about it being $200 + $125 but something is included so all I pay is $125.

The dealer called and said it's ready. I was able to confirm the cost is $125 when I pick it up. I'll send another update on how accurate it is now.

Back from the dealer. Apparently the process is you buy a Mopar service contract? Then they flash it. Doesn't really make sense to me but they flashed them for 34.5" tires and I drove it about 20 miles city/hwy and it's dead on with what my GPS says. So I'm happy. $125 flat.
