That would be really crapy to do to the people who ordered 2023s in the beginning of the model year. If they did that i hope it's for 2024 or later.
Not all new options land on model year milestones. If they can save money by getting rid of something now vs waiting until the new model year, they will and if they can earn money by adding something now vs waiting for the new model year, they will. That said, everything is speculation and there is marketing value with changes saved for the model year mark. Seeing that they now offer a 4.88 and the competition has a 37" tire...it makes sense that sometime in the future we will see that combination in the Wrangler....admitting that the phrase "makes sense" doesn't always make sense to those calling the shots and watching the $$s.

This is not the first time this year it has shown not available. As others have said, it seems to be a parts issue, and I bet Jeep is just making sure they only take "XX" number of XR orders per quarter, or month, or whatever. As long as the Bronco has the sasquatch package, Jeep will have the XR package, or some form of it.

I think you will get yours, those of us who haven't ordered may be out of luck...
Sorry, what I meant was if they change it to 4.88’s & 37’s because that’s what I prefer and I’m changing my tires to. 37’s right off the bat.
I do hope hope everyone gets theirs who already ordered though. Thank you.

I assume those of us with confirmed orders and vins who ordered the XR package but are yet to be scheduled are okay and can expect our orders to continue and eventually be delivered with the XR package?
As far as I know once the order has been accepted and you have a VIN you're fine. It's the people looking to order right now that aren't.

That is how I felt when I ordered last June - XR was announced 4 weeks later? However at that point I didn't want to mess around with what I had ordered.

When did you order yours?
I haven't actually ordered an XR - while it is pretty much perfect for my needs I am hoping to see the 20th anniversary Rubicon before deciding. Judging from Easter Jeep Safari the 20th anniversary maybe more than I want, and will likely cost a lot, I think I should just order the XR if and when the package comes back

Last year I ordered a Rubicon in June (before XR was announced) and it was delivered in September

It’ll come back. As long as the competition keeps (kinda) making their answer to the Wrangler, the XR will be around. The XR is a direct result of what Ford has done.

It’s not going to come with 37s though.
