Can you negotiate on price of replacement Jeep or is MSRP the price of new Jeep. I get I pay what the price over my 2018 Jeep is. Just wondering if I can negotiate price down on 2019 Jeep. Be great to know what others did in their buyout process. Thanks

I don't know. Here's what I hope and believe should be the case.

As a general rule dealers are smarter than the customer; after all they do these transactions numerous times a day--you and I once every few years. Sure, that rule isn't the case for many on this board, but one way dealers earn more profit is by making deals more complex.

The classic example is adjusting the price on the trade-in to offset something on the new rig.

Wherever possible each negotiation should be handled separately.

If you need to paying anything even remotely near MSRP for a 2019, you need to question why you are turning in your 2018.

Many of us did factory orders where we got 5%+ off of invoice (known as FWP: factory wholesale price)--forget what that is off MSRP (9%???)

Going through the process now. My 2018 is being lemoned and replaced with a 2019. 4 trips to the dealer for over 2 months in the shop for engine problems. Fca Ended up replacing the entire v6 engine at 6k miles....

You get msrp credit for your Jeep. You pay msrp on the new Jeep.
There is no price negotiation with the dealer.
You can negotiate with FCA. I don’t want to get into my specifics since I’m still in the process. Simple answer is yes you can negotiate to get a better Jeep, extended warranty, etc. I recommend negotiating directly with the RCSM.
