Sounds like an excellent excuse to tell the S.O. why you need a new steel bumper...

Now, just between us, tell us what you used to cave it in... :)

I'm in the central ohio area, if they aren't interested I may be.
There is no reason anyone should pay that much for a stock plastic bumper. A brand new one is $280 and add another $100, give or take, and you can get a steel and not have to worry about dents like that ever again.

The person I am replying to is selling his steel bumper for $250, not a plastic one and I agreed to buy it from him if the OP wasn't interested.

Visit a Jeep dealer or aftermarket installer. Here in Phoenix, they tend to have a bunch of new take-offs “out back”. My experience, especially
with dealers, is that they are not in the used parts business, and will give them to you for free. I once scavenged a replacement plastic bumper for my daughter’s JK. Here’s the rub: the employees who bring them to the back are not careful as you would hope. As with free oil changes, free isn’t always free.
