I noticed the music off my phone was at a much lower level than coming from my radio or Sirius XM. I finally found the issue.
If you have your Equalizer on your phone setup for listening to ear buds, this can change the volume of the music via Bluetooth and Android Auto. I stumbled on this and as soon as I set the equalizer to off or normal the sound volume through my system immediately became normal.
So if you are suffering from low volume from you Android phone via Bluetooth or Android Auto, try turning off the equalizer or setting it to normal and see if that fixes the issue.
