My JL with 37s drives just as good as my wifes bronco, both drive straight.
Yeah, mine did too after a bunch of steering and suspension upgrades. It certainly did not in stock form with 33" tires, nor has any other stock one that I have driven, including the one that I initially rented that put me on the path buying my Rubicon.

4 degrees of caster is not going to prevent wandering and since you are running 37" tires, I am going to opine that you have upgraded yours too.

That's apples and oranges. The rate of a particular utility doesn't change how long a battery will last, just like a combustion engines didn't suddenly start to crap out in 2009 just because gas prices were so high.
Well my point is if the batteries aren't going to last then I wouldn't want part of it until l the bugs are worked out. I live in coal country so these guys raise their rates for anything.

I'm getting off topic here a little. Sorry about that. I was just repeating what I read on the battery life.

I've seen this exact sentiment posted before like: "Lift it and put big fat tires on it. It'll handle better."

How does it improve handling?! You just moved the center of gravity up and put bigger softer rubber on there. Presumably, that would make it even worse!

Or are you looking for boaty handling vs, say, a sports car... I don't get it!

It is the adjustable suspension at that point along with different spring rates that makes it handle better. The caster on a stock JL is so low (4 degrees or so) that the Jeep is not stable on the highway anyway. You will have to "herd" it to keep it in the lane and crosswinds make it that much more of a challenge.

Yes, you are trading (compromising) when you lift the center of gravity, but a Jeep with an adjustable suspension will almost always drive better than stock because you can dial it in. As for the "boaty handling" provided the Jeep was bought to be used as a Jeep that is just part of the compromise. It is not as bad as all that provided the lift is one from a quality manufacturer.

Well said.

I really enjoy my 2021 JT Mojave, especially how it handles the snow with Selec-Trac.

BUT, I don't really use it for anything where I can take advantage of its 'strengths', and I wish it had another 100 hp. They say "happiness is having something to look forward to", so I guess I'll be happy for another year or so until I can get my hands on a Ranger Raptor.
If you don't use the mojave fur it's strengths, you won't use the Raptor for its strengths either. It should ride a little nicer and have more power, but high speed off road is where they both shine.

Agreed with TC, my wife likes the Broncos, and 4Runners, and I'm sure she'll like the Land Cruiser's once I show her those. Point being, my wife likes vehicles that look pretty.

I'm a little more impartial, I like to look at the vehicle as a whole, what it looks like, sounds like, acts like on the road, what it's meant to be used for, and it's longevity among other things.

Let's be honest here, the Wrangler is a more capable off-roader from the factory than the Bronco. The 4Runner is equally is capable as the Bronco (if not more capable), has more aftermarket mods, and has a lower general cost to get the same results.

Honestly, the only people buying Broncos, are the people who are buying them for looks, and fanboys. Beyond that it does not make sense to buy a Bronco when there are better options in all fields for either less money or the same.

True, but I guess I was thinking more about the SFA and the removeable top & doors. You know, the things that make a Jeep a Jeep. I really like how the Mojave rides on our crappy New England roads and bombing down the occasional dirt road. So, the RRaptor will be even better at what I use it for, should be quieter, probably not leak, and have an additional 120 hp and 170 lb-ft. That would be a win/win/win/win. Plus, I'll still have my JKR in the garage to scratch the Jeep itch.

That makes sense. I bought my mojave for desert use. We already have the wife's JLUR on 39s for hard trails. Too many bad experiences with Ford to every buy another one. Really wanted the trx, but couldn't justify double the price of the mojave with the massive discounts they were offering on 2023s. It only had 1100 miles on it before hitting the desert. We are closing in 2 weeks on property in northern Arizona. The JTM will see desert dirt at least once a month going forward.

Hmmmm. I've never owned a Ford product. Based on my Jeep experiences, I was figuring it could only be better. ?

Maybe I've just been lucky, but every jeep we've owned (which is over a dozen) has been great. 2 XJs, a ZJ, and a WJ were past 200k miles without major issues. Typical things at that mileage like starters or alternators but that's to be expected. Our 2019 JLUR was great until it was stolen at 63k miles. Aside from normal maintenance it needed ball joints at 36k miles but it was wheeled hard on 37s. The 2022 we replaced it with is right at 30k trouble free miles and it's on 39s. The JTM is already lifted on 37s. Every jeep we have owned gets used hard and they've all been great. My 2017 ram was pushing 120k miles when I sold it and the only issue I ever had with it was breaking front air ride sensors under hard use. My experience with FCA/Stellantis/Chrysler products has been great. Everyone has different experiences, but they've earned me as a life long fan.

Jeep is bound to build a decent vehicle every now & then. ;) A little luck goes a long way.

Indeed they do.
Personal experience>experience of those I know and personally trust>opinions of the internet will always be my hierarchy. Because of that I trust my Jeeps even in the most remote environments solo. I'd be afraid to take a Ford outside of cell coverage. Add to that the standard bronco has terrible front suspension travel and the bronco Raptor is about 10" too wide and $50k too expensive and you'll see why there are 2 Jeeps in our driveway and 0 Fords.
