Did a quick search with no luck.

Pulled my fender off to do a dual ARB install on the firewall of my JL. Everyone talks about the clips breaking … so bought a bag of them. Didn’t expect this piece to break before the clip attached to it. Does it have a name and can it be ordered?

I've watched lots of flare removal videos, and not one has touched on breaking this part, yet I too broke part of it whilst removing a fender. I guess I just did it incorrectly. Luckily only half of the clip location broke, so I just reinstalled it.
I too would be grateful for the part number, but I guess to install it means removing the fender again.....possibly doing more damage......

I JUST took this off my Jeep and you can have it. I'll double check that it's not broken.
Thanks for the offer. May take you up on it. Will have to find the black plastic rivets too. If I can’t, does me no good. Going to keep digging around. This is my driver side btw.

I have a feeling plenty have broken and didn’t know it. When I opened the instructions for the Grimm bracket kit … the fender pictured also this part broken. It was the first thing to go when I started pulling and had fender had significantly more movement afterwards.

As far as the rivets go, I got a set, with install tool from Harbor Freight, that wasn't too expensive. You will need a set of flush cutters as well, because the rivets are too long in the grip (meant for thicker material) so when the stem shears, they leave about 1/4 proud of the head. A cheap pair of flush cutters takes care of that.
I believe the actual Jeep rivets are very expensive.....

Weird, I can’t find it in the part catalog. I know the pieces, MPConcepts has them labelled backwards in their fender kit. Caused me some head scratching.
Might be Fender Insulator based in price and name, but no photo available.

That piece is part of the fender flare assembly and not available separate.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
-Benny
Thank you! That’s about what I expected. Surprised they made such an integral piece so weak. Looking at it now, that clip needs to be removed with a tool before the pulling starts. I wonder what the service manual says?

Fortunately, there’s still a bit of plastic left and was able to band-aid it with zip ties. Seems to be pretty solid.
