Ok, y’all. I’m at the end of my pacienxd and out of ideas on how to get my brakes to stop squealing.

First thing in the morning they are quiet. As soon as I encounter stop and go traffic - they start acting up. I re bed them and they shut up for a bit again.

I have:
Replaced rotors and pads multiple times. Zero change

Replaced calipers. They are the correct BR2/BR6 ones. Zero change.

Replaced Lines. No change.

Flushed Fluids. No change.

Feeling rather desperate to make the squealing stop. I haven’t even been on the trails because of how obnoxious they sound. It sounds like a pad squealer but it of course isn’t. I’m assuming they are dragging but why???

TIA!

More info would be helpful. Whose pads? How many miles? Do you left foot the brake pedal? i.e. Some people rest their foot there and "drag" the brakes often. High humidity? There are low noise Pads available on the market. Maybe someone else can contribute.

If you replaced the rotors and the pads and still have the problem, then break in of the pads and rotors could be the problem. There is a specific way to set the pads. If you followed that and still have the problem, then it could be the quality of the pads. The “ceramic ” or low dust pads notoriously squeaky. After that, I would look to environmental factors. The fact that you replaced the calipers should mean that you don’t have one stuck. It’s a PIA problem for sure

Biggest cause of squeaks is oil contamination on the pads. Make sure your hands are clean. Lube slider pins.

The pads have been properly bedded. This is actually set 3. I replaced with store brand. 5k miles later still squealing. So I replaced with power stop pads and rotors. And the symptoms remain exactly the same. Quiet until they are used a good bit then there they go.

Any time I run into this problem, the solution is always to replace the driver.

Have you noticed any glazing, cracking or heat spots on rotors or pads when you replaced any set? Is the noise coming from the front, rear, left or right side? Any pulling when braking?

Pads squealing during stop/go traffic once hot is usually caused by glazed or contaminated pad material. Try a different pad

Been thinking about this problem. There is also brake grease. A little goes on the back side of the pads on the piston(s) or caliper "ears" that contact the back of the pad. This is supposed to damper the vibration causing the noise. Additional info.

I have power stop brake and rotors. Mine squeek/pulse for the first 5-10 mins (light brake, heavy brake makes no noise) and then once warmed up are fine. I too have tried everything. Ill be pulling the trigger on the teraflex front brake kit at the end of this month. I'm just fing done with this noise.

Those are Toyota brakes, famously noisy. Best of luck.
