This may have already been addressed or asked. I have a 2021 JLU Rubicon bought used. It has the 7 pin trailer plug and hitch. I am attempting to add electric brake controller. It has the 4 plug under the driver side dash for plug and play. I have installed the CURT 51110 Venturer Electric Trailer Brake Controller with the CURT 51527 Quick Plug Electric Trailer Brake Controller Wiring Harness. The controller has no power to it. The fuse spots labeled f 36 and f37 have no fuses and do not accept fuses, are no blade receptacles in the fuse spots. I am stumped.... Maybe I need to add hot wire.?

Shoot, I installed the mopar towing harness awhile ago and can't recall how it connected to my controller. I think it just had the wires which I tied into the tekonsha pig tail that came with my controller.

Is it the mopar 7pin setup or an aftermarket? Also was it factory if you know it did somebody add it later (do you have the aux switches and do they work)?

Ill look under my dash later and let u know what I find.

Per this older post (#12), the pin out may need wrong on the curt? You may have to swap pins or get a tekonsha one.

That or bypass it and run a power wire back. That post made the factory one seem sketchy, which is a disappointment. Maybe it's been fixed since then though.

Do you have aux switches and do they work? I think the fuses for the setup when I added it were inline or not in the first box if I recall, part of the harness wiring. Ill check by instructions if i have them still

I only ask cause the factory tow option came with aux switches. If you don't have the aux switches or they aren't working, maybe yours was installed later. I found the instructions and there are videos online. If you pm me your email I can send you the instructions with parts list for the mopar trailer tow lighting kit. I don't see any fuses or breakers on this interestingly enough which makes me think they were part of the brake controller not the 7 pin wiring kit. If I'm recalling correctly, there is only one wire you run from this kit to the brake controller and the other wires (your hot, blue, white, ground) I think are from the controller setup and have the fuses ir breakers convected to that wiring.

Again, I'm sorry it's been awhile and I've wired 3 brake controllers in the past and should know this. Actually I have a diagram I just found showing the schematic. This should help. Looks like the 7 pin only had the blue going to the controller from the 7 pin. So you wouldn't see any fuses/breaker except for between the 12v hot lead and the battery. At least not from the 7 pin part?

I think you need to trouble shoot this harness for the controller you are talking about. Or run new wiring for your controller and skip their harness

That diagram was from a kit from etrailer, not the mopar thing but shows what actually connected to the brake controller. I have those mopar ones for the 7 and 4 pin, pm me to get those since they are multiple pages

Sorry for multiple posts. Here is the link to the instructions for mopar 7 and 4 pin. At least you can check the work, but I'm guessing the issues is related to this harness under your dash and the way it was wired. Look for any additional wiring off your battery and follow it to see if there is an inline fuse or 30a /40a breaker that may be bad.
