Looking to upgrade to a Borla Cat-Back S-Type exhaust system (Part #140847).
Now, Borla makes a big deal about its NO DRONE technology. If you've gone the way of Borla, has NO DRONE been your experience?

I've had this system on my JLU for years. It makes some level of sound at highway speed, but I never notice it unless I specifically listen for it. I describe "drone" as an irritating or unpleasant sound, so in my opinion there is no drone.

I realize it's not the same but I put one on my Gladiator and felt it was way too loud. Not sure I would really call it a drone but it was considerably louder. I am getting older and less tolerant of that stuff.

I have the 4 dr V6. Couldn't be happier. I got it for 2 reasons; 1 - A mid-life crisis. I've never had a vehicle with an exhaust and at 51 I was due; 2 - As I have the MT and shift with my ears, I wanted the exhaust louder to battle the wind noise.

Real world experience it is as quiet as a church mouse until you put your foot into it. When that happens the kids start screaming on the way to field hockey practice and I couldn't be happier.

There is no drone, as defined as an annoying I want to kill myself type of sound. I routinely drive long distances. You can hear it but it is not annoying in the least, very subdued. The Borla Touring would be way to quiet in my opinion.

It sounds great on start-up and it is a pleasure to drive hard, on the way to the grocery store, because I'm old with little kids and this is my only salvation. But I digress..........
