This may be a weird question, but how is the smell with Hotheads headliner? I know sound deadening material can carry a smell with it, especially when it gets hot, so I am curious if the strips bring a smell with them.

I am considering a headliner installation with the goal of sound deadening in mind. I live in the mountains of WY, so heat is not a concern for me. It seems that the YouTube vids I find that compare brands are focused on heat rather than sound. I am prepared to add some Kilmat as well, but is there one particular brand (looking at hothead vs boom mat for now) that out performs the others in sound deadening?
