Wanted to start a thread to document the build of our 19 granite JLUR we ordered on Sept 19th. We have an estimated ship date of Nov 2nd. Will be picking it up in Arkansas sometime around thanksgiving. Initial plans were mopar 2” and 35s on the stock wheels. Well, like most here, things change. We’re building this tackle anything from mall crawling to Moab.

Here are the current plans and build. I’ll be ordering the bulk of stuff today and might hold out for some black Friday’s deals for the rest.

2019 Granite JLUR 6 speed
37x12.5 Cooper STT Pro
Mopar beadlocks
Metalcloak 3.5” game changer rocksport with front driveshaft
Metalcloak skids
Metal cloak rear diff skid
Metal cloak relocation kit and front skid
Smittybilt x20 10k winch
Roam pioneer
Roam rear bumper with swing tire carrier—STILL WAITING 8/26/19
Roam frame mounted sliders
JL tazer mini
Spicer 5.13 gears
AAL highline fenders and inner fender lines
Alien sunshade

I’ll be doing all the work at my place so I’ll head to Arlington to buy a new 10k 2 post lift to assist with the build and maintenance on vehicles we have. I’m planning on doing that Tuesday the 9th. We’re are planning for the 2019 EJS in Moab next spring and hope to meet lots of y’all there.

I’ll be documenting the build and the lift install Incase anyone is curious about them. Also, if you’re in the SE Texas area hit me up

12-18-18 added a current pic after the lift

Got all the metalcloak pieces ordered today. Like them on Facebook. They do flash sales and it can save you a ton of money. Ideally I would’ve held out to see what they do for Black Friday but the Jeep will be coming home on stock suspension and 37s and would to put it directly on the lift without waiting on anything.

They guys at MC are great, very knowledgeable and friendly. Excited to show off their stuff next month! I’ll try to wait for the rest of the stuff for Black Friday. Got the main things and hope to have the list completed by mid Dec. it’ll be easy to add a cb and the little things as we go along

Phase 1 is underway. I drove to Arlington to pick up the lift and ordered two support stands and an 18 gallon oil catch pan. My 6 yo and the gantry crane made short work of getting the uprights up. Hope to finish getting it installed tomorrow.

Going to be ordered tires too.

Lift is working and will make things much easier! Install wasn’t bad at all.

Total under roof is 52x84. 40x60x15 is enclosed.

Sure wish I could have my own lift!
I’m thinking this will be one of those things I’ll wish I had done a long time ago. If you were closer it would be available to use!

Tried the lift out on my 10k truck. Worked great. Had to make some adjustments and painted the floor so I can get it right where it needs to be next time. Plenty of lift capacity but small margin of error to get it to fit right.

Metalcloak parts came in and look great. The rocksport shocks are on backorder. MC called me and told me of this when they found out. Since I’m still waiting another month for the Jeep it was not a problem. Everything else came packaged incredibly well and that gold looks sharp

I had some questions about @TTEChris rear bumper and tire carrier. He turned me onto @ROAM. I thought the company was out of state. Ends up they are right down the road from us. That said, we will be changing directions a bit and going to stay local as much as possible. I had seen their stuff but figured it was much more than I was going to want to spend. Talked to Anthony and they have terrific prices.

We will be getting one of their bumper/tire carriers as soon as they are released and also their rock rail steps. Original plan was some ace sliders but after studying these up I think they will be able to handle everything we can throw and also provide a much handier step for our son.

I’ll keep this updated but we’re are excited and like having a more defined plan.

Jeep was in G status this morning. So far we have the lift and skids in. Ordered tires today along with a dv8 FS-15 bumper. Winch and gears will be ordered Friday. Still waiting to get the roam skids and tire carrier. Hoping to have it in around the middle of dec and will immediately begin putting it together. We’re getting excited

You got some work ahead of you huh! Love your lift that thing is awesome!!
I’m figuring the better part of two days maybe into 3 to get it ready to roll. We hit KZ status so I’m going to plan to get it around the middle of dec hopefully. I love the lift more every time I use it.
