While at the dealer yesterday getting my Jeep on the list for the steering TSB, I saw several of these in different colors on both Gladiators and Wranglers.

They are "hummer-esque", but that aside:

1. Are these stronger than stock wheels because they are solid with no openings?

2. Are they the same strength, but are lighter because they are solid?

3. I like the idea of brake pad dust staying inside the wheel, but was curious if heat builds up due to no openings.

You gals and guys running them, what are your experiences?

Strength of a wheel is usually dictated by load rating. Should be easy to spec both.

You can't tell from openings or no openings as the barrel thickness will dictate as much as the face of the wheel.

I have a few buddies that run them. They have no problems with heat. Wheel is heavier than most at 31lbs. I run black rhino Barstow at 22lbs so there’s about an 9lb difference. Black wheels don't really show brake dust to begin with in my opinion. The center cap does come off so you can still mount it in the spare tire holder.

I thought the barstow was something like 35 lbs :( I love the looks of them, I am just trying to go with lighter wheels and tires

Yeah you’re right. I was thinking stock wheels. They are about the same weight as the armory’s. I run 35x12.5x17 on my sport with the rear Dana 44. No issues at all. Even have one on the spare carrier. Extended the bump stops on the carrier and it’s fine.

Beware Black Rhino counterfeits, they just busted some people with a whole warehouse of them in the Philippines, and supposedly there are a lot more out there.

Any issues since you‘ve had them with rust or chipping etc? Saw some folks leaving negative reviews on the ARmory but I sure do like the look.

I actually think those in the picture are the Arsenal.

Don't even think about these wheels! I cooked all four rotors on our truck with them. GM dealership says the rotors aren't even salvageable, need new ones. Had these wheels put on our GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 about 6 months ago, huge regret!
