  1. Black Rhino Armory Wheels - Cause of Extreme Brake Overheating?

I’m curious, when you “call BS,” are you saying the dealership’s diagnosis isn’t correct, or are you calling me a liar? I'm really surprised you haven’t experienced issues overheating brakes, you know, driving through all those mountain ranges in Florida.
  2. Black Rhino Armory Wheels - Cause of Extreme Brake Overheating?

I'm usually easy on the brakes, I like to coast long before applying the brakes, when possible, sometimes unavoidable though, especially in traffic, but traffic isn't much of a concern in S Dakota and Wyoming, where most of the miles have come since wheel change.
  3. Black Rhino Armory Wheels - Cause of Extreme Brake Overheating?

I didn't even think about the fluid, thanks for mentioning. Just to be clear though, I'm still running OEM-size wheels and tires. Admittedly, these wheels may be a few pounds heavier than OEM, but I don't see those few pounds making a significant difference to braking effectiveness, at least...
  4. Black Rhino Armory Wheels - Cause of Extreme Brake Overheating?

Don't have any at the moment, still on the truck pending a way forward. All I have is the invoice from GM for the diagnosis. Truck also just went into the collision center for hail damage, so I don't even have access to it. Been a rough year for the truckster!
  5. Black Rhino Armory Wheels - Cause of Extreme Brake Overheating?

Although not specific to Jeeps, I’m posting here, one of only two automotive forums I am a member of (we also own a JL), to see if others have had similar issues with these wheels. I also want to inform others considering purchase of these wheels. Here’s the synopsis - I had Black Rhino Armory...
  6. Black Rhino Armory Wheels

Don't even think about these wheels! I cooked all four rotors on our truck with them. GM dealership says the rotors aren't even salvageable, need new ones. Had these wheels put on our GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 about 6 months ago, huge regret!
  7. Water in Fuel (WIF) and NO START

I wish I could post a solution to our WIF woes, but I'm still baffled by it all and the problem seems to be resolved. Connections looked good. The WIF issue plagued us for about a week, even after draining several times and replacing the filter, but has seemingly resolved itself without...
  8. Water in Fuel (WIF) and NO START

I didn't perhaps state that clearly, I meant of the diesels I've owned, Jeep is the only one (to my knowledge) that required water be drained. I've never owned a Ford diesel, so I certainly cannot speak to them, regardless, sincere thanks for the clarification. And, I agree, you'd think if one...
  9. Water in Fuel (WIF) and NO START

Yeah, that's exactly what I search for too when filling, for this very reason. Our recent refuels have all been at the local Chevron, it's a busy one, right off I-80 at the Park City exit.
  10. Water in Fuel (WIF) and NO START

Yeah, I'm hoping the problem is something other than actual water in the fuel. If the manufacturer doesn't cover WIF under warranty (and I'm sure they wouldn't) and the fueling station doesn't cover it (impossible to prove, although all our recent fill-ups have been at the same local Chevron)...
  11. Water in Fuel (WIF) and NO START

My wife said she thought it sounded rough when she first got it started, but I didn't notice it idling rough or driving rough. It initially idled loud, but we're in Park City in November and this engine seems to always be loud when started cold, for the first few minutes.
  12. Water in Fuel (WIF) and NO START

For background, I've owned 8 diesel vehicles throughout my life (GMC, Chevrolet, Mercedes, Volkswagen) and never once had a problem with "water in fuel," until now on my 2020 3.0D. I also try to only use "top tier" fueling stations. To my knowledge, of all the diesel vehicles I've owned, Jeep...
  13. Montana 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Diesel - $62000 - 12,600 miles

It definitely prevents a lot of calls with questions.
  14. Montana 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Diesel - $62000 - 12,600 miles

I’ll probably hold on to the doors to sell with the Jeep, just in case the Jeep doesn’t sell and I have to hold on to it for a little longer, then I could possibly use them in the future. I wish I could comment on how the doors are, but the boxes are literally still sealed.
  15. Montana Sold: 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Diesel - $62000 - 12,600 miles

2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Diesel — $62,000 — 12,900 miles and counting After much deliberation, we’ve decided to sell our Jeep. Since selling our CJ-7 many years ago, we had been wanting to get a new Jeep, so we custom ordered this vehicle last year exactly as we wanted, intending...
  16. Factory Order Dual Top Group - Missing Soft Top Components

I don't know why all my uploaded pictures rotate 90 degrees when I upload, they are oriented correctly on my phone and on my computer, but after upload, they all turn 90 degrees, my apologies for all the tilted heads.
  17. Factory Order Dual Top Group - Missing Soft Top Components

I found some materials at Lowe's and Home Depot today and was able to complete the makeshift solution to my problem. I purchased (4) M6 25mm bolts from Lowe's (the longest they had in stock), but they proved to be too short due to the fact that the "built-in" washers were too wide to fit into...
  18. Factory Order Dual Top Group - Missing Soft Top Components

I custom ordered a JLUR last year with the dual top group. The soft top comes largely unassembled, in many boxes and wraps, all packaged inside a very large box the size of two coffins and stuffed into the interior of the back of the Jeep. Taking delivery this way, there is no feasible way to...
  19. Delivery time once it is shipped?

Vehicle is currently in San Antonio, 45 minutes from Austin where my dealership is located, been in San Antonio about 5 days now. Dealer has been great. Some of the delay seems to have stemmed from a broke down train in Illinois, not sure what the other delays are due to, probably virus related.
  20. Delivery time once it is shipped?

My Jeep left the factory about a month ago, being delivered to Texas..........someday.
