Just a heads up in case anyone might be headed in this direction currently. Both Black Bear Pass and Imogene are. closed due to mudslides.

Hey thanks for the heads up! The article says they will be closed “at least a week”. Hoping that means they should be open again in 4 weeks.

I’ll be keeping an eye on trail status but if you happen to see new updates on this could you throw them in here?

San Miguel County Sheriff Facebook and Trails Offroad. Depends how long you’re there if you have a shot at running Imogene.

The plan was Thursday 8/22 for Imogene... so a week and 2 days... fingers crosses they get it open again by then.

Just read that BB Pass is closed for the season and Imogene is closed again after reopening last week.

Yup... literally was driving to the trail head to see it closed again. Did Ophir and Engineer, but wanted Imogene.

Hey, I know the trails are 10’ under snow now but did it end up reopening?
I meant to head out there last fall but couldn’t make it work. I’d like to head out this year. Hoping trail closure won’t be a factor.

Black Bear is open and Imogene is open on the Ouray side and will remain closed on Telluride side til September-ish for repairs
