Anyone here been successful in getting Bilstein to replace a shock under warranty? Shocks are suppose to be warranted for life.

It's just a standard defect from manufacturing warranty. It also depends on which shock you're referring to as to whether it's lifetime or not.

What's your exact situation?

I have not with Bilstein. But I have and do with several other companies utilizing their warranty on many items over the years. Of course, my friends/family laugh at it all but I have had many items replaced at no cost.

I go to the company website and look for warranty contact info. Then email or call, usually start with email. You will be surprised at how many companies will just warranty their items with a short email conversation. Some require pics and or receipts, some don't. The worst they can say is "no it's not covered." And then if it's not sometimes, they will offer a discount on a repurchase.

Good luck

Shock is leaking oil and the warranty is rejected.

How old is it?

I had leaks with Fox and by the time you ship it and receive it back I was better off just buying a replacement.
With a life time warranty the age of the shock is not a determination on status.

I think a reasonable person would assume that a 10 year old shock with 200k miles isn't leaking due to a manufacturing defect and isn't subject to this lifetime warranty.

That's all your warranty covers. The post above mentioning leaks within 90 days can reasonably be attributed to a defect, which is why it was replaced.

A LIMITED lifetime warranty doesn't mean free shocks for life. 🤷
