I have run Bilstein's in my two JK's and loved them but my JL, not so sure. We have a lot of speed humps, speed waves, slow waves or whatever the community decides they should be named (lots of variations around Clearwater). When I go over one, the front is like butter but the back is like I have a toolbox with a ton of tools in the back as it jars the rear end pretty hard. I checked the springs to make sure they are seated properly. The rear track bar and extension mount are torqued properly. The only thing I can think of is this is my first soft-top. My JKs were hardtop and I think the weight may balance it out a bit more. I am thinking about throwing a couple hundred pounds of plates back there and seeing if the ride is softer. Thoughts?

That’s the best way IMO. What springs do you have?

I have the Rock Krawler Midarm Adventure series kit and RKs springs for my Ecodiesel. It is supposed to be a 2.5 inch lift but I think it is at least 3.

My wife and I took my son and his gf to the beach today and having their weight in the back made a huge difference. We went over several speed-bumps and no jolt what-so-ever.

So now you have to decide which is too stiff - springs or shocks. Or just add weight!

Is that supposed to be an overland kit with stiffer springs for more cargo weight? That might be your answer.

It is a standard Adventure series 2.5" lift for all I know other than it is for diesel engines. With that said it seems like a higher lift. I just got the 37's on it and at least in the front, it looks higher.
