Looks like this is for full-size trucks, but anyone have initial impressions?

Yeah, it's brand new, but they have 33" and 34" versions for 17" wheels and 35" for 18" and 20" wheels.

They certainly look nice, but if it's a heavy truck tire then probably it's going to have an extremely harsh ride if used in a Jeep. I'm having difficulty googling any info about this new tire though. Could you post a link to the tire page?

I think you're right, it'll probably have a harsh ride, but plenty of folks are already running "E" load rated tires on their Jeep.

I meant a link to the specific tire model in question, because I couldn't find it on the BFG website  But yeah if they're E rated then it's probably fine, I'm running E rated on my own Jeep right now and it's a little harsher than the stock C rated tires but it's manageable.

Might be a good fit as Jeep continues to increase torque, or maybe the diesel and 392 JLU, and as people increase weight (uberlanding)/towing (new higher tow rating).

Look at the load range numbers on those. No way would I want them on my Wrangler. Those are light truck size tires built more like medium duty truck tires. They're for 3/4 ton and up trucks used in places like oil fields, ranches, worksites and quarries. But I have no doubt more than a few sets will be put on Jeeps.

Oh yeah, I get it. They aren't what I would consider Jeep tires, but then again Jeeps are getting bigger and heavier, and with more torque they eat up tires with a softer compound. Plenty of people running "E" tires on Jeeps, and it seems tire manufacturers keep making bigger tires that are "E" rated. They'll probably wear like iron on a Jeep. They look like a good tire for my Super Duty though.

There are a lot of E2 rated tires out, 121/118 load range, that many have a max PSI of 65. Those are okay for a lot of Jeep and 1/2 ton applications.

I doubt you will see this particular tire offered in flotation sizes or crazy metric sizes. They will only be offer in sizes meant to fit work trucks.

This tire is competition for a tire like the excellent Toyo M55.
