I want to know what the biggest tire I can clear is. I have a JLU sport s. I also have rubicon take off suspension waiting to go on. The two tire sizes I'm debating between are 285/75/17 and 315/70/17. Will the rubi suspension clear me enough to fit the 315s? Thanks.

I fit 285/75s on stock JL Sport S with no lift... never rubbed on me, however I immediately bought a 2.5 inch suspension lift and it looks amazing now...

Awesome thanks. Do you happen to have any pictures of the 285/75s on without the lift? Do you remember about how much of a gap you had between the top of the tire and the bottom of the fender? Also, what lift did you get? Down the road I am interested in getting one.

I have a set of 315/70/17s on a sport. Both before the lift and after, the front tires rub the lower control arms at full lock. I hope this will be solved when my spacers eventually show up, but for the time being the solution is an adjustment of the steering stops. Prior to the lift I didn’t have any fender rubbing, but the Jeep hasn’t made it off road yet.

i will post the picture in a bit. There was about a 3-4 inch gap between the fender and tire. I got the 2.5 inch suspension lift by skyjacker. People say skyjacker has a bad rep but I actually think their new products are good quality
