It’s a similar type of thing that Apple got fined for in a very big way. Allowing or deliberately slowing down phone performance so people have to buy new phones. Why does everyone expect others to work on their vehicle for free? Do your own software updates. Spend thousands of dollars on the tools to do so.
My Jeep would perform normally but for their software issues which customers have to pay big $ for. At least Apple lets you update your software for free. As far as I know, only dealer can update performance-related software. I had to pay $150 for an update for mine today, to keep the accelerator from surging then braking. If I could have done that myself please enlighten me.
As far as I know the only software updates Jeep owners could do themselves, were the UConnect radio/stereo etc updates.
