With a low drain rate like that, I’d load test your battery as I think it’s discharging internally if it’s dead by morning.I have a 2023 JL with the v6 eTorque motor. Started having a battery drain overnight. Has anyone had problems with the battery.
It is only two years old. any insight would help. Did a test and the drain is only .07 amps.
It depends if the tiny external flow induces greater internal loss or not. In the day, some folks argued that premise as one of the reasons not to store batteries directly on the ground but rather on a board. What if the OP were to disconnect the battery overnight. Would that isolate the self-discharge if there is self-discharging going on?
I used to work at a Ford dealership. Customer had same problem & techs couldn't figure out out. Ford sent in big wheels. They couldn't figure it out, either. He was getting irate with the store & Ford. I sat with him & had a conversation. Asked him a bunch of questions. Figured out his key fob was bad & was constantly sending signals to the truck drawing low power. He drove the truck Monday thru Friday for work & it was fine. But every Monday morning, it was dead. Check your key fobs. Try leaving your Jeep somewhere else overnight away from the keys. That should tell you if that's the problem.I have a 2023 JL with the v6 eTorque motor. This is right on. 0.07 amps will drain less than 1 amp hour, out of 50 or more, in 12 hours. Parasitic drain is likely not the problem.Me personally, I think it’d take less effort and speculation if OP swung by an Autozone and had them do a quick load test. A standard car battery has a reserve between 48 and 75 amp hours so a .07 draw shouldn’t bring it to its knees in 24 hours.
Yep- after sluggish starts I started investigating. A Tazer glitch is the problem. If I open the door just to access something without driving it the screens and gear indicator lights continuously cycle off and on, unless I put it in Run then back to off. It was suggested wrapping the fob in aluminum foil before the sleep cycles might prevent the glitch, but I haven’t tried it yet.I would also park in my dark garage and watch the jeep power down after turning off and watch and see if all my interior and exterior lights and radio power down.
