I needed to run a couple errands and grab takeout around dusk yesterday. Loaded the dog and pushed the start button. Heard a click, then nothing. No dash lights, nada. All the worries of my recently installed (month?) Genesis system ran thru my mind.
Neighbor loaned me his new Ram Hemi Crew with 600 miles on it, since my JLUR was blocking my pickup in the driveway. Came back and gave it another look. Started checking the mass of battery cables....there it was. The ground cable from the main to the auxilliary battery was loose. It has an eyelet terminal that ties to a stud on the OEM ground battery lug. The nut was loose.
I just added a check item to my "won't start" troubleshooting memory list. There's a lot of connections in that Genesis system.
