I have read that the seams can wear on the leather. This is done because the leather is more slippery than the cloth and getting in and out will cause rubbing. I have also read that if the seat covers get wet, there's the potential for dye bleeding. It isn't as big of a deal on black leather but still a concern that I have. I have 3 kids under 12 and protecting the seats is something that I do concern myself with. With spills, crumbs and dirt always on the seats, I am constantly cleaning it with chemical guys leather treatment. Yet, I still almost feel like seat covers could be beneficial. I just do worry about the seams and whatnot. That's a good question tbh! I didn't even inspect the inside of the covers to see if there was anything that would rub on the leather.
