Backup camera stayed on while in Drive

All, I have a 2020 Rubicon Unlimited and recently had the Uconnect system update. All was working as expected however while driving home recently, the backup camera screen remained on and I couldn't clear it. In traffic, I put the vehicle in Park, turned off engine, started up again, and same thing happened all the way home. It was quite the sight on the screen especially when other vehicles approached.
Today, not knowing what to expect, all working as usual.

Anyone know 1) what happened and 2) how to fix if it does so again?

Typical Uconnect issue. If it's working now, leave it. If it happens again and you can't get it fixed, pull the fuse for the radio.

There’s an rear camera app on the 7” and 8” screens that allows You to access it. like the last post says there’s an “X” on the corner to close out of it.

Do you by chance, have a Tazer JL programmer installed on your JL?

Mine is the 8.4 but not without it's issues. My Nav isn't working, bad aircard. Dealer is replacing, waiting on a new radio.
Hope your issue doesn't go that far.

Isn't there a Setting for rear camera coming on, and a delay to keep it on ? I have this in my Sport, 2018, 5" screen, and find it very useful. Check Settings in case it was accessed ?

I just had this happen to my 2021 rubicon. there was no X when this happened like it has if you turn the backup cam on to turn it off. Also no sound from the radio. turned the jeep off had to let it sit for about 5 min. ben ok since.

Isn't there a TSB regarding a software update? That might work.
